Beijing Conference Center, located at No. 88, Laiguangying West Road, Chaoyang District, not far from the Olympic Village and Beijing Capital International Airport, covers an area of 508,000 square meters, of which 66% are covered by greenery and 50,800 square meters by lake. It is a garden-style venue for meetings, lodging, dining, recreation/leisure and vacation. The design concept of Center is reunion with nature. The structures are aesthetically scattered in a serene and woody environment; during the evening hours, the colorful illuminated fountain on the plaza complementing the bizarre rocks present a harmonious view. Our user-friendly facilities and services ensure an easy and comfortable experience of nature; even just a casual walk will be refreshing.
Beijing Conference Center has eight guesthouses with 1,000 rooms and can accommodate 2,000 persons. As the architectural style of the guesthouse is quaint and elegant, the standard guest rooms are fully and stylishly furnished, while the luxury suites are classic and comfortable. The six restaurants within the building can accommodate 2,000 guests, and they can be used to hold banquets, parties, receptions and so on. Beijing Conference Center currently has 63 conference halls/ rooms for meetings of different sizes. The auditorium with a seating capacity of 1,600 is equipped with large screens, voting devices, lift stage, orchestra pit, etc., for large-scale conferences, theatrical performances and other activities.
✦Transportation
There are two major airports in Beijing for international arrivals: Beijing Capital International Airport (website: http://en.bcia.com.cn/), where there are three terminals, and Beijing Daxing International Airport (website: https://www.bdia.com.cn/#/). Two modes of transportation are available from Airports to the conference site.
Way 1: By taxi
It is the most recommended way due to its simplicity. You can easily take a taxi at the taxi station outside the waiting hall of either Airport. Please show the attached bilingual notes (see below) to the taxi driver if you do not speak Chinese. For international arrivals at Beijing Capital International Airport, which is about 26.8 km away from Beijing Conference center, it will take you about 30 minutes to get to the conference site by taxi; for those at Beijing Daxing International Airport, which is 69.4km away from Beijing Conference Center, it will take about one and a half hours to arrive there.
Way 2: By public transportation
From Beijing Capital International Airport: Take the Airport Express, transfer to Subway Line 10 at Sanyuanqiao Station (三元桥站), and then to Subway Line 5 at Huixin Xijie Nankou Station (惠新西街南口站); get off at Datunludong Station (大屯路东站) and exit from B1. Walk to Datunlundong Bus Stop (大屯路东公交站), take Bus No. 569 and get off at Beijing Conference Center Station (北京会议中心站).
From Beijing Daxing International Airport: Take the Airport Express, transfer to Subway Line 19 at Caoqiao Station (草桥站), and then to Subway Line 10 at Mudanyuan Station (牡丹园站); get off and transfer to Subway Line 5 at Huixin Xijie Nankou Station (惠新西街南口站); then leave from Exit B1 at Datunludong Station (大屯路东站). Walk to Datunlundong Bus Stop (大屯路东公交站), take Bus No. 569 and get off at Beijing Conference Center Station (北京会议中心站).
Note 1: Please prepare some cash in RMB or exchange in the bank beforehand for payment as foreign currency or credit CARDS are not accepted by taxi or subway.
Note 2: It is suggested that you bring a printed bilingual note with you and show it to the taxi driver in case that the driver cannot speak English.

Time Zone
The time zone of all of China is China Standard Time (UTC+8), which is eight hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). There is no summer time in China.
Currency and Exchange
The Chinese currency is known as the RMB with the unit Chinese Yuan (CNY), which utilizes the decimal system, with one Yuan being equal to 10 dimes or 100 cents. Credit Card
Generally, Credit Cards, especially VISA, Master cards, can be used at many places in Beijing, such as hotels, shops, restaurants, etc. with VISA or Master logo. Nonetheless, it is suggested that overseas participants withdraw some RMB cash in advance just in case.
Weather
Beijing has a sub-humid continental monsoon climate, characterized by hot and rainy summers, cold and dry winters. Summer in Beijing could be very hot with fierce sunlight, with an average temperature ranging from 22℃ to 31℃ in July. All participants are suggested to wear light and breathable clothes, while adequate sun protection needs to be done when going outside for long time.
Electricity
China’s electricity supply is 220 volts, AC 50Hz. Electrical outlet plugs of Type I are commonly used in China (see http://www.worldstandards.eu/electricity/plugs-and-sockets/ ). Please check beforehand if you need an adapter for your electrical equipment.
Insurance
You must ensure that you have adequate personal insurance to cover your travel and health as neither the Organizing Committee nor any of its service providers can be held liable for loss or injury while at the university/conference or on any of its tours or activities. Normally, if you pay for your air ticket by credit card, you should have an automatic travel coverage. Please check this with your credit card provider and airline if additional insurance is necessary.
